At least this Monday I am, and I’m glad to be back after the weekend! I’ve made no secret that I’m a huge fan of ModCloth. What you may not know is that I haven’t been shopping with them for very long, at least compared to other places. I’ve only known about them for under a year, but in that time, I’ve grown to love their clothes and what they stand for as a company. Take for instance, the skirt I’m wearing which you may have seen earlier in the challenge here. It’s from one of their house brands, Myrtlewood. I love that they’re committed to making their clothes (including their other brand, Bea & Dot) in a range of sizes, all the way up to 4x, and being that size, it means a lot to me.
I’ve never worn a cardigan this way before! Lately, I’ve seen many retro outfits with tucked-in sweaters, and it looks much more pulled together especially with fuller skirts. As I predicted, this chambray skirt is as versatile as a pair of jeans. It goes with everything, either despite or because of the polka dots. I’m looking forward to remixing it again and again on the blog and in real life. While people usually think “dresses” when they shop at ModCloth, I’m always pleased with their selection of separates, both modern and retro.
This outfit brightened my day on such a murky morning. At least the gray weather made it possible to wear a sweater without, well, sweating. Thank you for stopping by!
