30 Day Style Challenge, Day 6: Surprise Sunshine

Happy Sunday! I was fully prepared for a cloudy, overcast morning, but much to my surprise it was sunny…and even slightly cool. I’m sure it won’t last all day, but I’m glad the weather was nice for some pre-church pics. I featured this dress in my ModHaul video was psyched to get it on sale. I would have never picked out it as little as a year ago being afraid people wouldn’t take me seriously or think that I wouldn’t know anything about obscure bands and such. Blogging has changed that mindset. Now I know I can wear a Peter Pan color and still geek out about Replacements, Pavement, or whatever band I’m obsessing about. Besides, being taken seriously isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I am who I am, and sometimes you even have to laugh at yourself. Missy doesn’t like taking pictures. I hope this doesn’t qualify as animal cruelty… I’m glad I embraced the happiness of this dress, and I can’t wait to transition it to my fall and winter wardrobe.
